The Museum: born in the '800s from the first ancient findings belonging to the Medici, previously preserved at the Uffizi, the Archaeological Museum is made up of two big sections: the Egyptian museum and the Etruscan-Greek-Roman antiquarium. In the Etruscan collection the famous vase of “François” is exhibited with numerous sarcophagi of great beauty such as the one of the “Amazons” and various bronze statues like the “Arrigantore” and the “Chimaera”. The Egyptian museum (the second most important one in Italy after Turin), includes vases, statues, stems, pictures and funeral outfits.
