This reservation allows you to visit the Accademia Gallery by skipping the line. You can get ready for your visit by consulting the digital guide that you will receive in pdf format with this booking.

By booking in advance the entrance ticket to the Accademia Gallery, you will be able to visit the museum without waiting in line.

Opening hours: from Tuesday to Sunday, from 8,15 am to 6,50 pm. Last entrance time 4:45 pm.
Closings: Mondays, 1st January, 1st May and Christmas day.
Entrance to the Accademia Gallery is allowed every 15 minutes.


The first Sunday of each Monday, entrance is free but reservation is not available, therefore visitors have to stay in line to enter the museum.

Reduced ticket: 10,00 euro (includes reservation to skip-the-line, pdf guide and on-line fees).
Under 18 Ticket: 8,00 euro - (includes reservation to skip-the-line, pdf guide and on-line fees).


* Mandatory temporary exhibitions ticket extra charge could be added to the above ticket prices if a temporary exhibition is planned on the date you choose to visit the museum.

The David Museum in Florence - What to see

The museum, founded in the 18th  century by Grand Duke Peter Leopold as a collection of paintings, was chosen in 1873 to house Michelangelo’s David, moved from its original location on the Signoria square.

The  famous statue shows the genius of young Michelangelo and was a symbol of the free Florentine republic of the beginning of the Cinquecento. Today it dominates the room  expressly created by the architect Emilio de Fabris. Later more statues by Michelangelo have been displayed in the same room, transforming in this way the Gallery into a Michelangelo museum. The four unfinished Prisoners, destined to the tomb of  Pope Julius II, and never sent to Rome, the unfinished Saint Matthew and the Pietà of Palestrina, attributed to mature Michelangelo.
